Meet Dr. Sisemore

Timothy Sisemore, Ph.D.

Dr. Sisemore has 40 years of experience in clinical psychology after receiving an M.A. in Theology and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary (APA-approved). His career has included academic teaching and supervising in addition to his clinical work. Dr. Sisemore has taught at undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels and published 11 books and numerous articles. Several of the books focused on anxiety and OCD at both the lay and professional levels. He is past president of the American Psychological Association’s division for the Psychology of Religion and Spirituality. His clinical focus is on anxiety and OCD, and particularly incorporating the client’s faith into the treatment process when applicable. Dr. Sisemore draws largely from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. He has previously worked for NOCD and the Center for OCD and Anxiety Related Disorders at the St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute. He is a member of the International OCD Foundation. He is licensed in TN, MO, and CA, and can work in most states given his credentialing through PsyPact. He is a husband, father, and grandfather, and loves a variety of music as seen in his eclectic collection of vinyl.
